SEPTEMBER

1st – LABOR DAY – This holiday honors and recognizes the American labor movement. Unions are strong believers in parliamentary procedure as helps to ensure that meetings are: fair, democratic, and orderly, which aligns with union values.

27th – THANKSGIVING – Traces back to 1621 when Pilgrims and Wampanoag Native Americans shared a harvest feast in present-day Massachusetts. Thanksgiving is traditionally centered on gratitude, family gatherings, and a shared meal.
